Registration 2010/2011 - Information



Open to Girls and Boys, age 5 to 18

Welcome to Registration for the 2010-2011 Basketball Season.

The Goulbourn Basketball Association offers a tremendous environment for learning and playing basketball at a wide variety of skill levels and age groups. The basketball experience with the GBA can start as young as 5 years old and goes up through to 18 years of age. There are fun development programs, recreational house league, competitive teams, and elite competitive teams supported by the GBA. We work hard to offer the best possible basketball experience around. Please join us for the 2010-2011 basketball season!

The following rates apply for GBA registration...

Small Ball 2003-2005 $135.00
Novice 2001-2002 $165.00
Major Atom 1999-2000 $195.00
Major Bantam 1997-1998 $195.00
Major Midget 1995-1996 $195.00
Juvenile/Junior 1992-1994 $195.00

The fees above apply to all GBA players.

An additional $75 fee per player applies to players who make it onto a competitive rep team. If you are trying out for a competitive rep team, please ensure the coach explains the additional costs associated with competitive play while try-outs are going on, before the team is selected. These costs can vary significantly depending on the season objectives for a given team.

For those interested in trying out for a competitive team, please be sure to indicate this on your registration to ensure you are contacted prior to try-out dates. Try-outs typically occur in September, before final registration is closed, so please be sure to register as early as possible. The number of competitive teams offered will depend upon indicated interest, as well as availability of coaches and gym time.

Steps to registration are:

  1. Read the Information Page (this page) completely
  2. Complete the Online Registration Form and Submit
  3. Upon submitting, you will see a confirmation web page. Print it out.
  4. Send your cheque and printed copy of your confirmation web page to the address below
  5. Once your cheque has been received by the registrar, you will receive an email confirming your registration

Registration cheques received after September 17th will be put on a waiting list. If you are caught at the deadline, send an email to the GBA President (president@gbahornets.com), and we'll do what we can to help. Please understand that in past seasons we have found places for many of the players on the waiting list.
