A Great Finish to the
GBA’s Small Ball Season
The GBA Blue Bombers, Red Lightning and
Bandits ended their season on the weekend with fun, laughter
and pizza! They started their yearend tournament
showing the parents and siblings their moves! After first
warming up, they did a series of dribbling, footwork and
shooting drills. Then....it was the parents’ turn! They
quickly learned that it wasn’t as easy as these 5,6 and 7
year olds made it look! The highlight of the drills was a
shooting competition between the players and the
parents....The losers did suicide drills! The first round
was a loss for the players and they ran full out! The second
round was a little different.....The players watched with
big smiles as their parents and siblings ran the suicides
when a parent was outshot by a member of the Blue Bombers!

The court was then divided into two and
the games were on! Families watched and cheered on the
players as they played their final games of the season.
After the games each player was presented with a medal by
their coaches and from there it was on to a pizza lunch!
What a great way to end their season!
Thank you to the coaches for organizing
this special event and for their dedication throughout the
season! A thank you goes out to the parents as well for
their support each week and during the tournament!
