teams. The team travelled to

February. It was a
very successful
tournament with 3
wins in the round
robin against Ottawa
South, Kingston
Impact White and
Kingston Impact
Blue. Players of the
game were Sasha
Thomson and Emma
Streatch. The
Hornets met Kingston
Blue again in the
semi-finals and won
36 -25. In the
finals, the Hornets
were beat by St.
Victoire from
Montreal and came
home with silver.

Chris Paulin Tournament in Kanata at the beginning of
December.It was
their first tournament of the 2009-2010 season and was a
very successful event for the team.More...
The Eastern Ontario Major Bantam Girls Division 1
Championships were held in Orleans the weekend of April 23
– 25. The Hornet girls sailed through pool play, beating
Hull 61-37, Cornwall 47 – 40 and Barrhaven 65 – 39.
Finishing first in their pool, the Hornets faced Ottawa
South Bedrock in semi-final play.

Guaranteed five games in the tournament, the first challenge

tough competition at the Mike O’Connor Tournament in
Gloucester on February 19 – 21. In round robin play
on Friday evening, the Hornets played West Island
Lakers from Montreal.

The Goulbourn Hornets are the newly
crowned champions of the Eastern Ontario Basketball
Association Major Atom Boys Division 1. The championships
took place on February 27-28, but due to scheduling issues,
the Hornets first game was played a week in advance against

competed in the Scarborough Basketball Association HoopDome
tournament on January 23-24 and won the Gold Division

The Goulbourn Hornets Major Bantam Girls
participated in the Chris Paulin (Kanata) Tournament on
December 4-6. The team headed into the tournament with an
amazing season start of 15 wins and only 1 loss.

Goulbourn boys won their second tournament of the year
winning the Academie Les Estacade Tournament in Trois
Rivières. With another dominating
team effort Goulbourn average 19 offensive and defensive
rebounds per game with an impressive 17 steals per game.

Goulbourn Major Midget Boy’s team had a very successful
weekend at E.S du Trilot’s Tournament in Sherbrooke, Quebec
on the weekend of November 7th and 8th. With only 4
returning boys and 8 new players on the team, coaches Tom
Hodge and John Scobie were not sure what to expect from
their team early this season.
